A lot of people may be wondering where they can use Uber in Europe during the Dave Matthews Band (DMB) spring Europe tour. In terms of where DMB will touring, according to Uber’s website, Uber is available in every city of the tour except Copenhagen, Denmark. Uber stopped operating in Denmark in 2017 after new taxi laws were passed. That being said, Uber is not always the best method of transportation in Europe, and just because it is offered does not mean you’ll be able to find a driver.
In most cities taxis will be plentiful, and most will accept credit cards. It’s always a good idea to have local currency on hand if a quick ride is needed just to be safe. In Italy and Portugal you’ll be able to pick up Tuk Tuks, some cities pedi-cabs or even boats, and riding in the large black cabs in London is part of the experience.
Alternatives to Uber in Denmark:
Taxa 4×35 – This is the biggest taxi company in Copenhagen. They have an app you can order cars from.
Viggo – A smaller company with less than 100 cars.
